A beautiful rectilinear woven antique tapestry, made in the late 1700s, in France. The extraordinary wall hanging depicts a variety of foliate and floral subjects in golds, reds, blues and pink colors against a gold/straw-colored background. The textile has patinated over time, with some areas having more wear than others. Antique woven tapestries are true works of art and testaments to the weavers and artisans that have left them behind.
