Description
An elegant French 20th century brass figural centerpiece depicting a graceful classical maiden supporting a large circular serving dish above her head. Inspired by neoclassical sculpture and the decorative arts of the 18th and 19th centuries, this refined piece combines sculptural beauty with practical versatility, making it a striking addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The finely cast maiden figure is portrayed in a classical pose, standing gracefully while carrying the wide circular dish above her head. The center of the dish is decorated with a detailed classical relief portrait medallion, adding depth and visual interest to the composition. The combination of the sculptural figure, the richly detailed relief decoration, and the warm tones of the brass creates an elegant and timeless decorative object. Made in France during the 20th century, this centerpiece reflects the enduring influence of European classical design, with its emphasis on symmetry, proportion, and refined ornamentation. Whether used as a centerpiece on a dining table, displayed on a console, placed on a buffet, or incorporated into a decorative arrangement, this versatile piece brings a sophisticated architectural element and a sense of history to any setting.
The elegant form and neutral brass finish allow it to complement a wide variety of décor styles, including classical, neoclassical, European traditional, and modern interiors. A beautiful decorative accent that combines artistry and function, this French figural centerpiece is sure to become a focal point wherever it is displayed.
The centerpiece measures 12 3/8 inches high by 11 1/2 inches in diameter and is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. -
