Description
A striking pair of Italian mid-century modern table lamps in the Art Deco style, crafted in Italy during the late 20th century and showcasing a sophisticated combination of deep dark green jade, brass, and gilt-painted wood. Each lamp reflects the clean geometric lines and elegant proportions associated with Art Deco design, while the rich materials give the pair a particularly luxurious presence.
Each lamp features a substantial rectangular form in beautiful dark green jade, accented with refined brass detailing that emphasizes the strong geometric silhouette. The jade structure rests upon a rectangular gilt gold-painted wood base, creating an elegant contrast between the deep green stone-like material, warm brass, and luminous gold finish. The restrained geometric design and quality of the materials reflect the exceptional Italian craftsmanship of the period.
Each lamp measures approximately 19 1/2 inches high, 14 inches long, and 5 inches deep. Each is accompanied by a rectangular gold silk exterior drum shade measuring approximately 16 inches long, 9 1/2 inches high, and 6 inches deep. Their elegant scale and architectural form make the pair particularly well suited for placement on a console, sideboard, desk, bedroom nightstands, or living room tables. Both lamps are in great working condition and have been rewired to U.S. electrical standards. No special light bulb is required. The combination of dark green jade, geometric brass accents, and gilt-painted wood creates a refined decorative effect that works beautifully in Art Deco, modern, traditional, and eclectic interiors.
A sophisticated pair of Italian decorative lamps, combining strong geometric design with luxurious materials and the distinctive craftsmanship of late 20th-century Italian design. -
