Description
A striking and highly collectible mid-century modern coffee service by Salvador Terán, one of the most innovative figures of Mexican Modernism and Mexican silversmithing design. This rare four-piece set—comprised of a coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and sculptural tray—exemplifies Terán’s signature architectural aesthetic, blending handwrought brass with richly textured mosaic tile inlay.
The boldly geometric composition is anchored by a dramatic triangular tray, creating a functional yet sculptural centerpiece ideal for refined interiors. Each vessel features Terán’s iconic curved handles with integrated stone or composite detailing, offering both visual contrast and ergonomic elegance.
Handcrafted in Mexico and stamped:
“Handwrought, Hecho en Mexico, Salvador, 408”
—affirming authenticity and artisanal production.
This set is a quintessential example of Latin American modern design, merging craft tradition with avant-garde form. A perfect addition for interior designers, architects, and collectors seeking statement objects that elevate coffee tables, bar settings, or curated shelving environments.
Whether styled in a Palm Beach, Hollywood Regency, or contemporary modern interior, this piece delivers warmth, texture, and undeniable presence.
