Antique Tiffany Japanese Gilt Sterling Silver Fish Serving Pair

Japanese gilt sterling silver fish slice and fork. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Terminals double-sided with low-relief stylized ornament: Perched birds, flowers, and leafing stalks. Fluted and shaped shank and blade with seagrass and fish. Interlaced monogram engraved on verso. Desirable serving pair in this pattern, which was designed by Edward C. Moore, who was a connoisseur and scholar of Japanese art. It was in production from 1871 to before 1904, and was revived as Audubon in the 1950s. Fully marked. Very good condition.
