Description
Post cubism work by Etiennette Johan
€ 3.500,00
Of Spanish origin, born in Valencia, in the early 1900s, Johan specialized in sculpture and painting of animals and tribal subjects. She worked mainly in Lyon, her painting influenced by post-cubist geometry remains of a realist imprint; straight lines dialogue with curves and games of angles give rhythm to the composition, her taste for color harmoniously mixes light tones with dark tones.
Johan's works happily represent the vast creative sphere attributable to the “Animaliér” artists.
Johan's works are present in major French and American collections and were presented at the antiques exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi, Florence 2005.
