Framed 1940s Abstract Landscape Painting by Morris Shulman

This abstract landscape painting in casein on paper is by prominent American painter Morris Shulman. Morris Shulman (1912–1978) was an American abstract expressionist painter known for his colorful, dynamic compositions that often featured geometric forms and energetic brushwork. Born in Savannah, Georgia in 1912, he studied at the National Academy of Design and the Hans Hofmann School of Art in New York City. His work has been exhibited widely in museums and galleries, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian, the Carnegie Institute Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum.
