Klett was an in-demand illustrator in the post-war period of the late 1940's and 1950's. and . His work appeared in many of the newsstand magazines at the time.
This work is a personal artistic effort. It reflects the avant-garde artistic sentiment of the time. Surrealism.
A foreground figure looking out to a timeless and surreal scene, not unlike those depicted by Giorgio de Chirico and Paul Delvaux.
