Description
Art Deco Credenza sideboard. French inspired American Art Deco midcentury oak sideboard, 1940-1950. Waterfall edge case raised on plinth having three drawers, upper drawer with two flatware compartments, two cabinets for storage on left and right. Gorgeous solid brass hardware of leaf detail with turned stem handle, solid brass elongated sphere drops for drawer pulls. The entire case having straight grain oak sides, top and completing the cabinet doors. Drawer fronts have 3/4 inch thick live sawn solid oak plates displaying marvelous grain patterns through angulation similar to a wave in motion. This is a stunning case piece offering storage capabilities that will enhance every setting. Extremely functional size can be used as a console, credenza, sideboard, even a dresser. A wonderful credenza in very good refinished condition possessing both Art Deco and midcentury style elements of modernism.
