Description
Svend Aage Larsen Credenza Sideboard. Iconic Mid century Modern Teak Credenza Sideboard complete with original top Display case. This is a complete unit in very good condition, all original including glass doors. One of the most iconic mid century credenza sideboard styles produced and sought after with full front Tambour doors. A minimal credenza case piece with a top display that can be used on top of the credenza or alone on a floor or wall. An extremely versatile sideboard having the classic enclosed front with the top display case being able to be centered, off set to either side, with or with out the glass doors, or used independent of each other, also finished on the back to be used floating or as room divider, allowing for ultimate functionality offering the perfect style of Mid Century Danish Modern movement. This particular style was produced by several top makers including Arne Vodder, Bernard Pedersen, IB Kofod Larsen, Hans Wegner, and Svend Aage Larsen. A common trait to the iconic styling are two full length Tambour doors that close and encase the entire cabinet. Our pictures help to show the credenza to sideboard variations, also please note the top display case has a completely different look when the glass doors are removed. The height with display case on is 54H inches with only the credenza is 31H inches. The sliding glass doors are easily placed in or taken out of the tracks by lifting them up and pulling them forward.
This is a fantastic example of the period by one of the top makers in very good condition. -
