Description
19th Century American Walnut Pedestal Table. Solid walnut 19th century American Pedestal Table in the style of American Empire. Based on the construction, heavy solid batten, solid walnut top, pedestal, base, and irregular round bun feet, we date the table to the middle 19th century, 1840-50. A spectacular American antique pedestal table. Elegant in form and aesthetic, with a nice original patina, original finish and condition. Hard to find American antique furniture pieces of this nature today. Table is structurally very solid and stable, having slight bend to the top from age, very common for solid wood of this age.
The table is as pictured in very good condition with a rustic patina having stains, dings, lifts, as found original condition. A true antique in good everyday useable condition. -
