Description
This refined pair of contemporary Murano glass table lamps showcases the exceptional artistry and material sophistication associated with Italian glassmaking at its finest. Hand-blown in Murano, Italy, each lamp is formed in a luminous translucent taupe-grey smoked glass that subtly shifts in tone depending on light and surroundings, lending the pieces a quiet depth and elegance.
The sculptural bodies feature elongated vertical fluting that flows gracefully from a gently rounded base upward into a narrowing, tapered silhouette. This rhythmic ribbing creates dynamic movement within the glass, allowing light to refract and reflect along the surface while emphasizing the purity and clarity of the material. The softly scalloped lower edge adds a tactile, organic quality that balances the lamps’ architectural form.
Each example is signed on the underside by Alberto Dona, affirming their authenticity and Murano origin. The lamps are fitted with silver tone metal hardware that complements the cool neutrality of the glass and are newly rewired to American standards. 18" Height includes lightbulb socket. -
