Description
Originally designed by Angelo Lelli in 1947 and first exhibited at the 1951 Milan Triennale, the Model 12128 “Triennale” floor lamp remains one of the most celebrated icons of Italian modern lighting. Produced by Arredoluce from the 1950s thru the 1970s, this 1960s example perfectly captures Lelli’s visionary synthesis of engineering precision and sculptural form.
The lamp features a tripod chrome-plated base supporting three adjustable conical shades in black lacquered metal, each independently pivoting and rotating to provide versatile, directional light. The crisp geometry of the structure contrasts beautifully with the soft matte finish of the shades, expressing Lelli’s mastery of proportion, balance, and light modulation.
Each of the shades has a white disc insert that is stamped MADE IN ITALY ARREDOLUCE MONZA
A hallmark of postwar Italian design, the Triennale embodies the optimism and modernity of its era — elegant, functional, and timelessly architectural. Lelli’s designs for Arredoluce helped redefine domestic lighting, moving it from utilitarian necessity to a medium of expressive design.
This example retains its original lacquer and chrome, showing only minimal age-related wear. Wiring has been professionally inspected and is in good working condition. -
