This stunning Art Deco Machine Age table lamp was realized in France circa 1935. It features a two tier skyscraper style base in lustrous chrome from which a streamlined translucent glass body ascends, separated in the center by a spherical embellishment (also in translucent glass). The stepped skyscraper style shade features a circular clear glass insert in its center with concentric ringed detailing in its center from which an etched starburst pattern emanates outwards. With its quintessentially Art Deco materials and forms, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate design objects from the period, as well as those with a penchant for all things exquisite. Its monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines ensure that it would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
