Description
Carlo Nason, an acclaimed Italian designer, is recognized for his impactful work with Murano glass and lighting design. Born into a family with a long lineage of glass artisans, Nason’s passion for intricate and innovative glasswork is deeply rooted in tradition. His collaborations with Mazzega, a prominent Italian glass manufacturer known for fusing artistry with functionality, have led to timeless lighting pieces.
Design
The LS 178 pendant lamp in bubble crystal showcases Nason’s talent for blending form and function. This piece features three distinct shades that seamlessly nest within one another, creating a harmonious and sophisticated silhouette. Each shade is fixed with a simple aluminum ring, ensuring stability while allowing the overlapping design to maintain its elegant flow. The shades are notable for their embedded air bubbles, spread across the glass surface, diffusing light softly and creating a delicate play of texture. The organic contour of each shade tapers into a leaf-like point, offering a natural, fluid appearance that draws the eye and complements a variety of interior styles. The bubble crystal effect lends a timeless and airy quality to any space, while the interplay of the shades evokes depth and movement. It adds character and subtle complexity, enhancing both contemporary and classic settings.
Condition
Other than slight oxidation on the fixture, this item remains in a very good condition. -
