Description
An exceptional pair of Art Deco chandeliers designed and signed by Degué, crafted in France circa 1935, embodying the sophisticated visual language of the period. Each chandelier features a striking hexagonal frosted glass body, intricately adorned with floral cubist motifs, seamlessly blending geometric abstraction and botanical inspiration—hallmarks of the Art Deco movement.
Elevating the design further are skyscraper-inspired details that evoke modernist architectural forms, creating a harmonious interplay of dynamic lines and contours. The frosted glass emits a soft, diffuse glow, complemented beautifully by the nickeled bronze fittings, which add a touch of polished refinement and enduring glamour.
These signed masterpieces by Degué are not only functional lighting but true works of art, making them perfect for enhancing Art Deco-inspired interiors, elegant modernist spaces, or adding a luxurious vintage touch to contemporary designs. Newly rewired to American standards with height that can be adjusted to suit, these chandeliers accommodate 10 candelabra base bulbs each achieving up to 600 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition, signed on the glass bodies.
