Description
Superb floor lamp designed by Emilio Lancia in the mid-1940s. This model is distinguished by a rigorously architectured vertical composition. The polygonal-section shaft adopts a slender line that asserts Lancia’s characteristic pursuit of balance and monumentality. The piece perfectly embodies the designer’s Italian Art Deco language: refined proportions, discreet linear ornamentation, and the combination of noble materials within a controlled restraint. The mirrored surface is adorned with gilt fillets and stylized geometric motifs, arrows, part of a measured and symmetrical decorative vocabulary. The circular painted wood base ensures structural stability while reinforcing the chromatic contrast. Its hemispherical opaline glass diffuser, mounted on a brass head, softens the light. The lamp has been fully restored, the brass elements repolished, and fully re-electrified.
