Description
The "President" table lamp was designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1960. It features a wide, tapered brass shade with a perforated top for upward light diffusion, supported by a central brass column with teak wood accents. The lamp rests on a brass tripod base finished with elegant teak feet. This model is widely regarded as one of the most iconic designs from Hammerborg's tenure as creative director at Fog & Mørup.
Jo Hammerborg (1920–1982) was a prolific Danish designer and the creative director of Fog & Mørup from 1957 to 1980. During his tenure, he revolutionized the company's aesthetic, introducing a series of sleek, architectural lighting designs that combined various metals like brass, copper, and aluminum with organic wood elements. His work is a cornerstone of mid-century Danish modernism. -
