Description
The "Formland 3" table lamp was designed by Sidse Werner and Leif Alring for the Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup in 1969. The design is conceptually inspired by the form of a parachute, featuring a stout cylindrical base that flares upward to support a large hemispherical diffuser. The opal acrylic shade provides a soft, even light distribution suitable for side tables or desks. This example features the original yellow finish, one of several vibrant colors produced for the Formland series.
Sidse Werner (1931–1989) was a prominent Danish architect and industrial designer known for her organic forms and innovative use of materials. Her collaboration with Leif Alring for Fog & Mørup resulted in several iconic Pop Art-influenced lighting designs that transitioned Danish modernism into a more playful, colorful era. -
