French 19th Century Carved Giltwood Chandelier

$ 5,500
  • Description
    Dimensions: 36” H x 28 ½” W x 28 ½” D

    A glorious six-light Neoclassical giltwood chandelier from 19th century France. This beautiful antique fixture is made of a slender wood column which has been finely hand-carved with foliate, rope, and gadrooned motifs typical of the Louis XVI style, as it tapers and swells into the candle arms, glowing from the lustrous gold gilt finish. Six arms of acanthus decoration rise up to faux candles for candelabra-base bulbs over a carved tassel finial underneath. Professionally cleaned and rewired for use in the US using UL-listed components, ready to install in your interior. Please view the detailed images as they are an essential part of the description.
