Description
This elegant table lamp was designed by Alvino Bagni and produced by his company Bagni in Italy in the 1970s. The complex manufacturing involved the application of each “dot” by hand, individually, after marking the design directly on the piece. This special technique was developed by Bagni. The 'dotted' texture gives the lamp a refined appearance. The spherical shape in matt glazed ceramic was made entirely by hand on a lathe. New custom shade with linen texture in a green/gray color which contrasts nicely with the white base. The Italian ceramist Alvino Bagni became internationally known in the 1950s to 1970s for his modern ceramics, some of which were sold in America by Raymor and in Germany by Rosenthal. His manufactory was quite successful, around 1980 Alvino Bagni had around 100 employees.
