Description
This rare table lamp was designed by Gunnar Borg and produced in the 1960s by his own ceramic workshop, Gunnars Keramik, in Höganäs, Sweden. The piece is signed on the bottom of the base.
The hand-turned stoneware base is made of sandstone and has been glazed. The beautifully painted surface features an abstract striped pattern in varying shades of teal, green, and dark green. The drum-shaped shade, made of natural ivory-colored fabric, provides a striking contrast to the green tones of the base.
The lamp is in very good original condition with a renewed shade. It is currently fitted with a 220V European plug.
