Description
This rare floor lamp was designed by Hans Agne Jakobsson and produced by his company in Markaryd, Sweden in the early 1960s. The lamp is marked with a manufacturer's plate indicating the model number G35. The design consists of a cross legged base in black iron on which the central stem in solid teak wood is placed. The drum shade is placed on the top part of the stem and appears to float, with the central stem continuing above the shade. A distinct and elegant example of the Swedish Modern lighting of the mid century era.
The lamps is in very good original condition, currently with a 220V European plug. The shade has been renewed in an ivory colored linen fabric according to the exact dimensions and shape of the original shade. Two E27 light bulbs with pull chain switches. -
