  • Description
This very rare floor lamp was designed by Hans Bergström and produced by Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden in the late 1940s. This particular model was numbered 547. The lamp is stamped with the manufacturer’s details on the brass fitting.

The lamp stands on a tripod base of three splayed brass legs, each terminating in a turned elm foot. The stem is elm, its warm grain a natural contrast to the brass. Height is adjustable, from ca. 120 to 133 cm (47.2 to 52.4 in), via a sliding brass collar on the shaft. The arm curves gently upward and forward, ending in a brass fitting that holds the shade and can be tilted to adjust the angle of light. The fabric shade has been renewed in a beautifully textured Dedar fabric.

The lamp is in very good condition. The brass and wood with a natural patina consistent with age and use. The shade has been renewed. Currently with 220V wiring.
