Description
This refined Mid-Century Modern floor lamp was realized in the United States circa 1970. It features a square, subtly volumetric base with rounded corners with a cylindrical support ascending from the center- all in lustrous brass. The translucent lucite body fits perfectly into this brass receptacle ascending upwards where it culminates in a brass collar that peaks out from the custom shade. This lamp is really a study in the beauty of austere design at its most elevated. With no embellishments and minimal materials, this piece conjures maximal drama. Its clean modernist lines and modern materials make it as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. It accommodates three candelabra bulbs providing up to 180 watts of light. It comes with a custom shade. The lamp is signed "Hansen" on the base.
