Description
Rare italian original Floor Lamp 'Quadrifoglio', Produced by Harvey Guzzini, Italy, 1970s.
Design: often attributed to Gae Aulentiand similiar to her 'Pipistrello' design. 1974.
However, it was designed in-house at Guzzini, likely by Luigi Massoni. Guzzini confirmed this, as did the Gae Aulenti Archive in Milano.
Original 'Harvey Guzzini' Label on the side of the shade.
Polished chromed metal steel tubes / Stem and white Acryl shade in form of a four-leaf clover ('Quadrifolglio').
Two light sources (one inside, one on top). Original cable with floor pedal. Each light can be switched on independently. The top lighting can be dimmed.
The stem and leg have been cleaned as good as possible, there are some spots of rust left. Overall fair and good working condition. -

Documentation: Signed Notes: Design: Inhouse at Harvey Guzzini, 1974. Often said to be designed by Gae Aulenti, this is not likely the case. It was designed inhouse at Guzzini, likely by Luigi Massoni. Guzzini confirmed this, as did the Gae Aulenti Archive in Milano. Origin: Italy Period: 1950-1979 Materials: Galvanized Metal, Polished Chrome, Plastic, Acrylic. Condition: Fair. Wear consistent with age and use. Fading/Rust and a dent at the bottom.
