Description
An elegant Finnish Art Deco table lamp in chromed or nickled brass with an adjustable white opaline glass shade. The lamp can be both used as a table lamp or a wall lamp as it has a slot for hanging to the bottom. Small in size and with the adjustability of the shade, makes this lamp easy to intigrate in any interior and can serve as an ambiance lamp or a functional one as a bed side reading lamp for example. The item is in good condition and stamped by the manufacturer. It carries normal wear and tear consistent with age and use.
Idman was one of the leading lamp manufacturers in Finland and after 1953 was the company for producing Paavo Tynell lamps. During the 1940s, it had top designers like Gunnel Nyman, Mauri Almari and in later years names like Tapio Wirkkala, Maria Lindemann and many other talented designers and architects. -
