Description
These pendants are simply magical! The pleated fabric shade a fine example of the innovative ways Lisa Johansson-Pape created light with an incredible glow that really sets the mood of a space. And the counterweight function is so cool - you can pull the light down when you need more light, and easily move it back up with the attached brass handle. Functional design at its best. Two pendants available, priced individually.

Lisa-Johansson-Pape (b. 1907 d. 1989): One of Finland's most innovative lighting designers, using war-time rations she mixed materials and created shapes that brought her designs worldwide fame. "A lamp is not the actual purpose, but more like an instrument. It must fulfill its purpose as a provider of light, but at the same time, it must also satisfy the aesthetic demands. A good light fixture must be simple, and its structure and function must be both neat and correct." -
