Description
Vilhelm Lauritzen 'VL Studio' metal and glass table or floor lamp for Louis Poulsen.
This innovative lamp is based on Lauritzen's original studio wall lamp for Radiohuset, which indicated with a red or green light whether the studio was recording. This authorized re-edition from Louis Poulsen emits a warm, glare-free light; its glossy opal glass radiates a pleasant glow to its surroundings. The unique design allows for versatility and lends itself to applications as both a table or a floor lamp. Hand-crafted with careful attention to detail from the highest quality materials in Denmark.
Executed in hand-blown, triple-layered opaline glass and black painted aluminum frame. 9.8' diameter.
Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the most significant architects in the history of Denmark; he was the trail-blazing figurehead of Danish functionalism. A number of his buildings represented the concentrated essence of contemporary life. In particular the Radiohuset building and the earliest version of Kastrup Airport – both listed today – are considered peerless monuments to modernism in the European genre of construction.
Available in unlimited quantities in three sizes and in choice of slightly brushed brass or black painted aluminum frame. Also available as a wall mounted version in a separate listing. Prices vary. Please specify finish and size when ordering. List price reflects a medium-sized black lamp.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base LED bulb. UL listed. Dimmer on the 8.2' cord. Matching black cord for lamps with black frame; white cord for lamps with brass frame.
Ships in 1-3 days. Out of stock lead time can add 8 weeks or more. Please note that inventory availability is subject to change at any time.
Made to order. All sales are final. -
