Description
This rare table lamp was designed by Marianne Starck and produced by Michael Andersen & Son in Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s. The lamp is marked with the manufacturer's logo and the model number 9069 on the underside of the base.
The design consists of a tapering bottle form with a faceted lower body. The base is finished in matte blue-gray glazes with subtle horizontal banding and tonal variation. The lower section features off-white panels outlined in dark blue-gray, creating a geometric contrast that emphasizes the sculptural form.
The tall tapered shade is a custom design in a beautifully textured, white Métaphores fabric.
The lamp is in very good condition with renewed 220V wiring, a new E26/E27 bulb fitting and a new custom shade.
