Set of Three Mariyo Yago 'Garbo' Ceiling Lamps for Sirrah, Italy 1973
-
Description
An impressive set of three ‘Garbo’ ceiling lights by Japanese designer Mariyo Yogi, manufactured by Sirrah. These lamps are highly versatile and can be placed individually, side by side, as a room divider or in a triangle. One can even cut off part of the fringe in order to reduce the height and place it above a table for example. DesignThe lamps are unique in its design and the name Garbo is a tribute to Greta Garbo and suggesting the parable between beauty and elegance. They have a metal square base that needs to be mounted to the ceiling and has three light bulbs. This base is surrounded by white nylon fringes. The fringes will become an important element thought out the work of Yogi. ConditionThe lamps are in good working condition with the fringes having some light dis-coloration, especially at the ends.
