Mid-Century Modern Italian Blue Tapestry-Design Porcelain Table Lamps – Pair

A beautiful pair of Italian porcelain table lamps, crafted in Italy during the late 20th century and showcasing an elegant combination of richly painted decoration, classical form, and refined gilt accents. Each lamp features a rounded urn-shaped porcelain body with a gracefully tapered neck, decorated with an intricate tapestry-inspired design against a deep blue ground. The porcelain bodies are embellished with beautifully painted floral and foliate motifs reminiscent of traditional woven tapestry, complemented by a distinctive brick-patterned border around the upper portion. The rich blue ground provides a sophisticated backdrop for the colorful decorative details, while each lamp rests on a round gold-painted wood base that adds warmth and contrast to the porcelain.
Each lamp measures approximately 29 inches high and 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The accompanying silk exterior round drum shades measure approximately 11 inches high, 16 inches in bottom diameter, and 15 inches in top diameter. The elegant proportions make the pair particularly versatile for placement on a console, sideboard, commode, living room tables, bedroom nightstands, or an entryway.
Both lamps are in great working condition and require no special light bulb. The combination of the richly decorated blue porcelain, tapestry-inspired ornamentation, urn-shaped silhouette, and gold-painted bases reflects the decorative appeal and craftsmanship of Italian furnishings from the period.
A sophisticated and highly decorative pair of Italian table lamps, equally suited to traditional, transitional, eclectic, or European-inspired interiors.
