Mid-Century Modernist Pressed Glass Disc Sputnik Chandelier w/ Nickel Fittings

This gleaming and elegant Mid-Century Modernist Pressed Disk Sputnik Chandelier with Nickel Fittings originates from Austria, Circa 1960. Features an expansive sputnik frame rendered in satin nickel with translucent pressed glass disk elements with spiraled geometric patterning expanding from their center. Each disk is attached to the frame with a rounded tip nickel fitting and rod, beautifully proportioned and arranged with enough negative space to gaze through the framework and admire the glass elements from a variety of angles while casting plenty of light and maintaining a good density of detail. Rendered in beautiful quality materials and with an elegant and graceful presence, this piece will style well in wide array of settings and spaces, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this fixture accommodates 12 Candelabra Base Bulbs casting up to 720 Watts of light. Height can be adjusted to suit. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
