Description
This elegant Pair of Modernist Smoked Murano Glass Diamond-Form Polyhedral Wall Sconces originated in Italy, 21st Century. Each sconce is composed of multiple hand-blown, faceted glass modules rendered in a deep smoked gray with subtle amber undertones, with individual elements forming tapered diamond or polyhedral prisms that cluster into a layered geometric silhouette. The glass exhibits slight surface texture and internal variation typical of mouth-blown production, which gives each prism a gemlike play of depth and light as it moves from a small chrome loop. Those prisms are suspended to allow gentle, measured movement that enlivens the composition. The fixtures mount to narrow rectangular chrome backplates and are detailed with slim chrome hooks and links that articulate the composition while maintaining a refined profile. A light source sits within the clustered field of prisms so illumination reads as softened and warm, with the smoked surfaces modulating the glow and emphasizing planar facets and repeated polyhedral geometry. Together they read as an architectural and jewel-like presence that complements contemporary interiors. Excellent Condition, these pieces have been rewired to US standards and accommodate three G9 Based bulbs offering 300 watts of light each.
