Description
Dramatic and sculptural California "Sunburst" chandelier by Remains Lighting, crafted in solid brass with contrasting nickel-plated accents. This highly architectural three-dimensional fixture radiates faceted spikes in every direction, reflecting light with exceptional brilliance while creating a warm, balanced ambient glow. A statement chandelier that merges Hollywood glamour, California modernism, and collectible contemporary lighting design.
The design draws inspiration from the celebrated sun motifs of Tony Duquette, referencing his iconic California Sunburst stage curtain created for the Los Angeles Music Center in 1964, as well as themes from his San Francisco Canticle of the Sun exhibition. The result is a bold centerpiece equally suited for luxury residences, grand foyers, dining rooms, boutique hospitality spaces, or designer interiors seeking a high-impact focal point.
This example came from the Remains Lighting showroom and retains original labels, dated 1/26/2012. A rare opportunity to acquire a sophisticated and visually powerful designer chandelier with strong provenance and timeless decorative appeal.
Condition is vintage with visible nicks, light scratches, and mild oxidation consistent with age and showroom use. Presents beautifully and displays with rich patina.
Ideal for interior designers, architects, collectors of statement lighting, Tony Duquette style interiors, Hollywood Regency, modern glamour, and bespoke luxury spaces.
