Description
Dating from the reign of Alexander III (1881-1894), a Russian brass samovar mounted as a table lamp in the mid-late 20th century. Structurally intact with minimally invasive mounting. The samovar measures 17 inches tall by 16 inches diameter. The samovar was used for its original intended purpose for over two decades in Russia, and over five decades in the U.S.

Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment.
