Description
This tall Art Deco table lamp was produced in France in the 1920s.
The striking design is marked by the square base with hand-carved gadrooned details. Above this sits a shallow circular dish base with a central sphere. This is followed by a turned wooden column with stepped ring details that taper upward. The elegantly carved and turned details of the lamp give it a refined and sculptural appearance and illustrate the high level of craftsmanship of its maker. The tall, tapered lamp shade is a custom design made from an ivory colored Métaphores fabric. The finely textured textile provides a refined, neutral contrast while offering a soft and even light distribution.
The lamp is in very good condition, with renewed 220V European wiring and a new standard E26/E27 bulb fitting.
