Description
A pair of 1950s Vilhelm Lauritzen brass and glass 'Christiansborg' sconces for Louis Poulsen.
Executed in opaline matte glass and brass. This is an original mid-century design by Vilhelm Lauritzen. As with his celebrated 'Ring Crown' series, the Christiansborg offers gentle illumination via the opaline glass. Ideal for powder rooms or other interior spaces that call for soft indirect lighting.
Price is for the pair. One pair available.
Vilhelm Lauritzen is a key figure in the history of Danish architecture. His designs captured his believed that there’s no life without aesthetics, whether involving buildings or lighting.
Professionally rewired for US electrical with a period-style 4-inch brass backplate that accommodates a US j-box. Each lamp accommodates a single max US 40W equivalent LED candelabra bulb. (LED only). Bulb not included. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
Wear consistent with age and use. Some minor scuffs and dings noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one lamp is pictured, but that both are in similar condition and present well as a pair. Please contact us for additional photos or video. -
