Description
Backlit mirror in Murano and Metal by Carlo Nason for Mazzega. Designed by Carlo Nason and produced by Mazzega, this illuminated mirror is a striking example of modern design combined with traditional Murano glass artistry. Nason, known for his innovative approach to lighting and glasswork, creates a piece that effortlessly balances functionality and visual impact.
Design
The mirror is mounted on a sleek black metal panel, with four integrated side lights that cast a soft, ambient glow. Attached to the panel are two large Murano glass pieces, crafted using the ghiaccio technique, which gives the glass an ice-like, frosted appearance. These glass elements curve slightly forward, adding depth and dimension to the design. Subtle touches of green hues swirls—are spread across the surface, adding texture and visual interest. When illuminated, the glass diffuses the light in a warm, glowing pattern, creating a dramatic yet inviting atmosphere.Made by Mazzega, a renowned Murano glassmaker, this mirror embodies the fusion of Nason’s modernist design principles with Mazzega’s rich glass-making tradition. Its clean lines and refined detailing make it an ideal piece in and for contemporary interiors.
