Description
This rare two seat sofa was designed by Arne Norell in the late 1950s. The model is called 'Divina' and it was produced by Westbergs Möbler AB in Tranås, Sweden. The striking design combines Norell’s use of sculptural forms with his undeniable emphasis on comfort — the deep, integrated seat cushions and voluptuous armrests ensure relaxed seating. This dynamic model is marked by the curved lines of the backrest flowing harmoniously to the armrests and front. The distinct drumstick legs are in a dark lacquered beech wood. The sofa is currently upholstered in an uplifting floral and bird themed cotton fabric. The sofa is in overall good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The fabric is in reasonably good condition with a few small stains and little signs of wear. Can be either profesionally cleaned if the fabric is to be retained, or reupholstered.
