A French Louis XV style walnut fauteuil from the mid-19th century, with delicately carved accents and newer upholstery, exudes timeless charm and sophistication. Created in France during the second quarter of the 19th century, this elegant walnut armchair showcases the graceful lines characteristic of the Louis XV period. The gently slanted camelback, designed for both aesthetics and comfort, is seamlessly connected to two open arms that feature scrolling and splaying extremities. These arms add a sense of movement to the piece, enhancing its overall fluidity.

The chair has been recently reupholstered in a refined double welt fabric, offering a fresh and polished look while maintaining its historical integrity. The seat, back, and partial arms are all covered in this newer fabric, ensuring a comfortable seating experience while allowing the carved walnut frame to take center stage.
