This 19th century Louis XIII style turned walnut upholstered armchair features a straight, flat, high backrest, open wooden arms with padded armrests, and a broad square seat. The walnut frame showcases fine decorative turning, including prominent vase-and-ring turned front legs and arm supports. The base is reinforced with an upper front stretcher and a lower H-shaped stretcher and the chair is upholstered in a plush, patterned velvet tapestry with a colorful floral design and finished using antique brass nailhead trim.
