Finnish Ilmari Tapiovaara, was one of the greatest designers of the twentieth century, a leading exponent of post-war Scandinavian design. Gifted with extraordinary talent, he became famous for his functional furniture, such as stackable chairs and furnishings that could be assembled after delivery.
Obsessed with the search for the perfect chair, combining functionality, ergonomics and accessibility, the designer came up with what is considered the Scandinavian chair par excellence.
Set of six wooden chairs with fabric covering in different colors and brass details, designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara and produced by La Permanente Mobili Cantù in 1960 circa.
