Unique Isabelle Richard Faure oxidized brass velvet sofa bed 1970s
-
Description
This unique sofa bed was created by Isabelle and Richard Faure for Parisian design firm Maison Honore in the late 1970s. Entirely covered by decorated oxidized and patinated brass all over, that was then fixed and varnished. The sofa features a large sunflower shaped cushion attached by velcro on a seating part that can be opened and used as a large bed. It has been fully reupholstered with soft velvet fabric by Lelièvre, the mattress has been replaced by a brand new Bultex mattress. These are unique creations that were made on order by Maison Honoré at the time. It exudes a stylized 1970s allure, with a warm, cosy and bold energy that will gently diffuse into your space, anchoring in mid-century modernity. It has been fully restored, and is found in an amazing vintage condition. A unique and very rare find, highly decorative, and sure to be an intriguing focal point for any living room or playroom.
