Description
Dimensions: 80 ¼” H x 60” W x 24 ⅛” D
A stunning piece of Dutch craftsmanship dating to the early 19th Century. Made from solid oak, this spacious armoire is imposing yet elegant. The double doors have carefully carved, arched panels that are adorned with acanthus leaves at the start of the arches’ curves and at their apexes. The doors open with brass knobs, and the lock is in working order with its accompanying key. Sliding bolt latches at the top and bottom of the right door keep it shut and are easy to open and close. The roomy interior has two fixed shelves measuring 15” deep. Below the main cabinet are two paneled drawers. Each drawer opens smoothly via two teardrop-shaped brass pulls. The armoire sits atop sturdy block feet, which reinforce the piece’s sense of strength and stability. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
