Description
Dimensions: 37 ⅜” H x 50 ⅛” W x 21 ⅝” D
A beautiful Louis Philippe commode from 19th-century France. The top is made from a single slab of Sainte Anne marble with rounded corners and stunning grey and white inclusions. It has been professionally repaired in the center to maintain its beauty for years to come. There is some staining that can be seen at the back of the slab, which is consistent with the commode’s age and continued use. The body of the commode is made with an incredible bookmatched mahogany veneer. It features 4 wide drawers, all of which have working locks. One of the two remaining keys can be used to open all drawers. Concealed in the plinth base of the chest is a fifth drawer, which can be easily opened from the bottom of the piece. With its beautiful materials and fine craftsmanship, this commode is suitable for a range of spaces and design styles. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
