Description
Dimensions: 31 ⅛” H x 45” W x 20” D
This marble-topped fruitwood commode from France is a more recent (1900s) interpretation of a Louis XVI original, such a distinct style that brings regal refinement to any interior for clothing or other linens. Saint Anne marble on the top surface exhibits wispy patches of gray-scale in the stone, finished in turreted front corners and flat at the back. Each of the three drawers are embellished with (patinated) brass trim around the paneling and easily glide using bail pull handles to operate. One key is shared between the three working locks. Fluted pilasters descend to turned, tapering feet with brass sabot feet. Please view the detailed images to see the condition. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this antique commode is ready for your interior. -
