Description
Scandinavian Modernism represents a body of work that has had a tremendous impact on the furniture industry. Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian designers and manufacturers placed great importance on material, form, and simplicity. One of Norway’s great exporters, Westnofa (West Norway Factories), shared Scandinavian design with the world.
We love rosewood for both its rarity and its striking appearance. We aim to collect as many examples of modern design featuring rosewood as possible, with the goal of preserving these pieces and passing them on to clients who will cherish them for at least another lifetime. This pair of petite nightstands by Westnofa exhibits beautifully figured rosewood grain from every angle.
These pieces can be used as nightstands, as originally intended, or as end tables in a variety of settings. Their compact scale offers both practical surface area and functional storage with dovetailed drawers and open areas underneath. This pair of nightstands is part of a Westnofa rosewood suite that also includes an eight-drawer dresser, a tall gentleman’s chest, and a queen headboard. -

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
