Description
A sculptural French Art Deco occasional table, the circular top in a richly veined verde antico-style marble, its deep green ground threaded throughout with dramatic pale crystalline veining. The top is raised on a dynamic wrought iron base composed of gently curving, fluted straps that sweep outward from a central hand-forged ball finial into four scrolling, paddle-shaped feet, each finished with a hammered, hand-worked texture typical of the finest French ironwork of the period.

The base's flaring, organic silhouette — straps splaying outward like petals or blades before curling into flattened feet — is characteristic of the sculptural wrought iron furniture produced in France during the late Art Deco period, when designers moved away from strict geometry toward more fluid, hand-forged forms.
A versatile occasional or gueridon table, equally suited as a lamp table, drinks table, or display stand for sculpture and art glass.
