This rare side table was designed by a Danish cabinetmaker in the 1950s and reflects a particularly refined and sculptural approach to postwar Scandinavian design.
The circular tabletop is executed in an intricate radial marquetry composition, combining rosewood and Oregon pine in a precisely arranged, starburst-like pattern. A rosewood border frames the composition, emphasizing the clarity and balance of the design. The table is supported by a slender bronze stem and circular base. Elegant in proportion and light in appearance, it functions beautifully as a side, pedestal, or display table, while maintaining a strong decorative presence.
The piece remains in good original condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use.
